And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Better than a Jeep, and every patch of grass is a gas station
Just got my 2nd mule. A mule won't do doodly for you unless he wants to and trusts you. And even then he might not if he thinks there is an easier way to do it.
I like mules. However, the reputation of them being stubborn is true.

Mules are interesting, and tough, with lots of character. They seem to have more stick with you than horses (she whispered)
ReplyDeleteOh they are. My uncle in Idaho had a couple, and they were definitely smarter, with more "stick," than the horses.
