This is Glozell Green

She's a Youtube sensation for antics like this:

I laughed.

Our president, however, has decided to blow off any meeting with Bibi Netanyahu, but he can actually find the time to grant an interview with Glozell.  Really.

How adolescent.  How far our country has fallen.

Although, truth to tell, rocket scientists like Glozell are probably, in their seething, squealing millions, his natural base and constituency, so politically it's not as insane as one might think at first blush.
Nevertheless, pranks like these are so far beneath his office that it galls the sensibilities.  I'm sure actual tyrants like the Iranians are impressed as can be by this.

  1. It's his base and they are the people that he's comfortable around.

  2. So the president is speaking with an American citizen instead of the leader of another nation? What is the problem? The president's responsibilities end at our borders. If only the Congress was not made up of traitors who allow the leader of another nation to address it.

    1. Well, he certainly can speak with anyone he likes, but one would expect a more serious approach to the use of what I would think would be his valuable time. We should undoubtably see this as simply marketing to his base, as I seriously doubt Glozell has any insight to offer Obama, other than not to gobble an entire ladle of cinnamon.

Congress, as a coequal branch of government, has every right to invite anyone they want to address them. It's not treason to do that, certainly. Since there is a bipartisan concern in Congress in the direction of Obama's negotiations with the Iranian government, they are well within their rights to invite a leader from a front line state to give them his insight, and if it tweaks the sensibilities of the president, too bad. The Congress must vote to approve any treaty Obama negotiates, and Netanyahu's input is relevant on that subject. Besides, Obama, with a few exceptions, has not covered himself with much glory in foreign relations, so they hardly need to blindly follow his lead.
